DHARMA TEACHING:   EMPOWERING LIVES AND UPLIFTING CONSCIOUSNESS

Uplifting the consciousness and empowering the lives of Filipinos were the main thrusts of the dharma teachings imparted to the Filipino people by the supreme head of the Karma Kagyu lineage, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje, during his November 11 – 18, 2006 visit. The Philippine Nedo Kagyu Bodhi Dharma Foundation, Inc. proudly announces another series of empowerment and dharma teachings by His Holiness with valuable techniques on “Transformation For Happiness”.

Buddha has taught many different methods of removing the cause of suffering based on the capacity of suffering beings. According to the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, the direct way is to link one’s mind with the awakened mind of the Buddha or Deity through empowerment from a qualified teacher. In an empowerment, one gets blessings of the lineage as well as instructions on how to practice to be able to attain one’s enlightenment. The practice of Buddhist precepts has become universal because these are inherent in all religions. The difference lies only on the manner of presentation and the methods employed.
